Crowninshield, (Francis Welsh) Frank (Arthur Loring Bruce, pen name)
(1872–1947) editor; born in Paris, France. After various editorial posts, including editorship of The Bookman (1895–1900), he edited Vanity Fair magazine (1914–35), molding it into a slick, sophisticated journal of society and the arts.
