Cryogenic Morphosculpture

 

a type of morpho-sculpture that arises under the effect of frost weathering, nivation, solifluction, thermokarst phenomena, and so forth. On aggradation plains, cryogenic morphosculpture is usually represented by swell hummocks, thermokarst basins, and polygonal soils; on uplands and in mountains, by rock streams, altiplanation terraces, and structured ground.
