Cunningham, Glenn

Cunningham, Glenn

(1909–88) track athlete; born in Elkhart, Kans. After overcoming severe leg burns suffered in a childhood accident, he established a world record for the mile in 1934 and won the silver medal in the 1500 meter race in the 1936 Olympics.
