Dynamic Systems Development Method

DSDM

(Dynamic Systems Development Method) A comprehensive agile method for software development and other projects, DSDM debuted in 1994 to add structure to rapid application development (RAD). Initially developed for software, DSDM later became a project management method for all kinds of development.

To ensure success, DSDM defines a dozen roles for people, such as executive sponsor, visionary, project manager, team leader, solution tester and facilitator. The four-phase framework of DSDM consists of feasibility and business study, functional model/prototype iteration, design and build iteration and implementation. One of DSDM's core techniques is MoSCoW, which stands for Must have, Should have, Could have and Won't have. See RAD and agile software development.
