Dalainor

 

(Hulunch’ih), a lake on the Barga plateau in northern China. Area, approximately 1,100 sq km; depth, 6–9 m; average level, 539 m. Dalainor has greatly increased in size in the 20th century. It is fed by the waters of the Kerulen and Orch’ung-Gol rivers. The shores of the Dalainor are low and flat, and in the northern part of the lake the shallows are overgrown with reeds. The Dalainor is a freshwater body and is rich in fish.
