Dalan Dzadagad

 

a city in the southern part of the Mongolian People’s Republic; administrative center of the South Gobi Aimak. Population, 4,200 (1963). Dalan Dzadagad is a transportation junction and has coal deposits nearby. Industries include the production of construction materials and clothing and food enterprises. Part of the population engages in herding, truck farming, and field-crop cultivation.
