DataBolts
An earlier product group of software components for websites from IBM. Introduced in 1997, they were disbanded as stand-alone offerings in 1998 and turned over to the IBM/Lotus groupware division for integration. Available as JavaBeans and ActiveX controls, the primary technologies were Cryptolope (secure distribution of copyrighted material), Query and Retrieval (database access) and NewsTicker (scrolling news window).Copyright © 1981-2025 by The Computer Language Company Inc.
