[¦līn‚wēv·ər ′bərk i‚kwā·zhən]
(biochemistry)
A double reciprocal form of the Michaelis-Menten equation, written as 1/ V0= Km / Vmax[S ] + 1/ Vmax, that yields a straight-line plot for reactions obeying basic Michaelis-Menten kinetics. It provides a more accurate estimate of Vmaxand is helpful in analyzing enzyme inhibition.
