(particle physics)
Any excited baryon state belonging to a multiplet having a total isospin of ³⁄₂, a hypercharge of +1, a spin of ³⁄₂, positive parity, and an approximate mass of 1232 MeV. Designated Δ(1232).
Any excited baryon state belonging to any multiplet having a total isospin of ³⁄₂ and a hypercharge of +1.
