In brief, its definition contains two principal parts: Part I is a "scaling statement" (5) that defines the new system by fixing the magnitudes of an ensemble of units by assigning exact numerical values to a set of seven reference constants expressed in those units without reference to base and derived units; Part II contains the individual definitions of the base units s, m, kg, A, K, mol, and cd using the same set of reference constants.
As consequence, the International Bureau of Weights and Measures added to Table 3, SI derived units with special names and symbols, of the authoritative book The International System of Units (28) a new line:
Further derived kinds-of-quantity and derived units may be defined in the conventional manners.
Most derived units are as straightforward as the relationship of length to breadth to compute area, [m.sup.2].
Many derived units can be expressed in more than one form, but professional use usually settles on a single convention.

It is probably time to go back and remember that simple statement; "Heat is work and work is heat but energy's the difference." It is also the time to remember that heat, work and energy are expressed in base or
derived units of joules J using the SI system.
