San Sebastián’s various industries produce machines, chemicals, paper, textiles, cement, and food. The city also has a fishing industry. The sand beach that stretches along the picturesque bay has made San Sebastián a well-known summer resort; in addition to a substantial tourist trade, the city periodically hosts international film festivals.
