Dozier, Edward
(1916–71) Santa Clara Pueblo/Tewa anthropologist; born in New Mexico. After receiving a Ph.D. from the University of California: Los Angeles (1952), he specialized in studying Native Americans and the peoples of northern Luzon, Philippines. He wrote several books and articles, including The Hopi Tewa of Arizona (1954).
