Dwight, John Wilbur

Dwight, John Wilbur

(1859–1928) U.S. representative; born in Dryden, N.Y. A lumberman and owner of Dwight Farm and Land Company, he served as majority and minority whip in the U.S. House of Representatives (Rep., N.Y.; 1902–13), leaving to head the Virginia Blue Ridge Railway Company (1913–28).
