East Africa Coast Current

(oceanography)
A current that is influenced by the monsoon drifts of the Indian Ocean, flowing southwestward along the Somalia coast in the Northern Hemisphere winter and northeastward in the Northern Hemisphere summer. Also known as Somali Current.
