Location:15 miles northeast of Annapolis, Maryland.
Facilities:Visitor contact station, observation tower, trails (é), boardwalk (é), picnic area, boat ramps, historic features.
Activities:Boating, canoeing, fishing, crabbing, hiking, hunting, educational programs.
Special Features:Refuge is one of seven sites where remnant populations of the endangered Delmarva fox squirrel exist.
Habitats: 2,286 acres of woodland, grassland, open water, marsh and cropland.
Access: Open from dawn to dusk.
Wild life: Waterfowl, songbirds, birds of prey, including the bald eagle, butterflies, and the endangered Delmarva fox squirrel.
