Location:9 miles east of Goliad on US 59, in the southeastern part of the state.
Facilities:Day-use group facility, picnic areas, interpretive center, playground, restroom.
Special Features:On March 20, 1836, at this site, Colonel J.W. Fannin surrendered himself and 284 of his men to Mexican General Jose Urrea after the Battle of Coleto. Seven days after the capture, 342 men, including Fannin, his troops, and other men captured in the area, were executed.
