Of course, their frequency is entirely dependent upon the criteria used for the diagnosis and, in my opinion, if the thecoma diagnosis is to have any consistent application it should be diagnosed by using strict criteria, and focal somewhat plump cells in what is essentially a
fibroma should not lead to a thecoma diagnosis.
