The suppliers include Colwith Farm in Lostwithiel, who grow the potatoes, Davidstow, Whalesborough Cheese and Cornish Gouda Company, who make the cheeses, Kittows of
Fowey, who are supplying the beef skirt and lamb shoulder, Trewithen Dairy, who make the butter and yoghurt, and a collection of Cornish farmers who are growing the swede (or turnip as it is known in Cornwall).
Others were B&B newcomer Number Thirty Eight, Clifton, Bristol; Cornish hotel of the year The Old Quay House,
Fowey; City hotel of the year Jesmond Dene House, Newcastle upon Tyne.
The team's most ambitious venture saw a group of 10 staff take to the hills for a 28 mile walk from the Atlantic to the English Channel across Cornwall following the Saint's Way from Padstow to
Fowey, which raised [pounds sterling]3,500 alone.
Cornwall is blessed with an abundance of picture perfect fishing villages, and although some have become over commercialised,
Fowey, to the south, is a total delight.
