Fox Point State Park
Location:East of I-495 at the Edgemoor Road north of Wilmington.
Facilities:Picnic area, pavilions, playground, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, restrooms (é).
Activities:Picnicking, walking, biking, river viewing.
Special Features:Formerly a toxic waste dump site, the property has been remediated and
now offers a "window on the Delaware River," where visitors can watch
commercial ships traveling to and from the port of Philadelphia. On
clear days it's possible to see all the way north to Philadelphia and
south past the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
