Established: 1984. Description:Raises funds to restore and renovate Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine (see separate entry in national parks section), site of the War of 1812 Battle of Baltimore that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the Star-Spangled Banner. Works to continue research and to develop and preserve interpretive education programs offered to school children and visitors. Members: 250. Dues: $35/year ($25/year for students, $65/year for families).
Publications: Quarterly newsletter.
