LD slag is a by-product of a steel making process which is not being used in the country unlike the blast
furnace slag, which is commercially used in several applications cement manufacturers.
It offers Portland cement, sulfate-resisting Portland cement, moderate sulfate-resisting Portland cement, blast furnace cement, oil well cement, and ground granulated blast
furnace slag for various industries.
Based on the product, slag cement market is categorized by Low Heat Cement, Sulphates resisting cement, blast
furnace slag cement, high alumina cement, while cement, coloured cement, and pozzolanic cement.
KCC currently produces ordinary Portland cement (OPC), sulphate-resistant cement Type V, white Portland cement, oil well cement and ground granulated blast
furnace slag cement (GGBS).
GPIT will receive granulated blast
furnace slag, a byproduct of steel production, by ship and then use Charah Solutions' grinding methods to process MultiCem brand slag cement.
Its product portfolio includes ordinary portland cement, sulphate resistant cement, Portland blast
furnace slag cement, and grounded granulated blast
furnace slag.
Mineral include fly ash, rice husk ash, silica fume and granulated blast
furnace slag. Chemical admixtures include superplasticizers, normal plasticizers, waterproofing admixtures, air-entraining agents, accelerating agents and retarding agents.
The applications of many kinds of industrial by-products, such as ground-granulated blast
furnace slag, phosphorus slag, fly ash, and copper slag, in UHPC have been reported [39-42].

It has also agreed a multi-year contract to handle large quantities of granulated blast
