Gaspra-Koreiz

 

a health resort, situated among settlements with the same names on the southern coast of the Crimea, 12 km southwest of Yalta. It has a Mediterranean climate: the summers are very warm (average July temperature, 24° C), and the winters are mild (average February temperature, 4° C). Annual precipitation is 675 mm. Treatments include air therapy; sun cure; sea bathing; sea, radon, pine, oxygen, and carbonaceous baths; and grape cures (from September through November). Gaspra-Koreiz has sanatoriums for children afflicted with bronchial asthma, chronic pneumonia, and residual symptoms of nephritis. It has a workers’ resort and a boarding house. The season is year-round, and the bathing season is from June to October.
