Location:6 miles east of Douglas on GA 32.
Facilities:50 tent/trailer/RV campsites, pioneer camping, 5 cottages, 32-bed group lodge (é), 7 picnic shelters, winterized group shelter, playgrounds, trails (4 miles), swimming pool and bathhouse, canoe rental, outdoor amphitheater, camp store.
Activities:Camping, fishing, canoeing, swimming, hiking, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park includes Heritage Farm, where agricultural history is interpreted with log cabins, a corn crib, tobacco barn, cane mill, farm animals, and other exhibits. One of the overnight cottages available at the park is Burnham House, an elegantly decorated 19th-century cabin. The park is named for General John Coffee, a planter, US Congressman, and military leader.
