Facilities:Primitive riverside camp sites, hiking trails, picnic shelter, picnic tables, restrooms, food concessions, scenic vista, historic building, visitor center (é).
Activities:Castle tours.
Special Features:The park and its 24-room castle have recently undergone an $11 million renovation and restoration. The rugged stone castle, which was designed by actor William Gillette, sits atop a cliff high above the Connecticut River. Travelers to and from the west may want to take the Chester-Hadlyme ferry across the river.
