Glücksburgs

Glücksburgs

 

(in Danish, Glücksborg; Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksbergs), the Danish, Norwegian, and Greek royal dynasties.

The Glücksburgs in Denmark are Christian IX (ruled 1863-1906), Frederick VIII (1906-12), Christian X (1912-47), and Frederik IX (since 1947).

In Norway, the members of the Glücksburg dynasty are Haakon VII (ruled 1905-57) and Olaf V (since 1957).

Members of the Glücksburg dynasty in Greece are George I (ruled 1863-1913), Constantine I (1913-17 and 1920-22), Alexander (1917-20), George II (1922-23, 1935—41, and 1946-47; collaborated in the establishment of the fascist dictatorship of Metaxas, Aug. 4, 1936), Paul I (1947-64), and Constantine II (since 1964).
