Location:Just outside the town of Glendo, off I-25.
Facilities:More than 400 tent and trailer campsites, restrooms, picnic area and shelter, trails (4 miles @di), swimming beach, boat ramp, boat dock, marina, dam (é), playground.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, windsurfing, hiking.
Special Features:Visitors may find tepee rings and other traces from times when Arapaho, Cheyenne, Oglala, and Brule Indians called this territory home.

If you want to see Fort Laramie, plan to stay in Guernsey (three motels) or larger Douglas (two dozen motels and restaurants) and also visit nearby Fort Fetterman, Ayres Bridge, or Glendo State Park. Badland's National Park, 57 miles east of Rapid City, has been called the finest surviving natural prairie in the country.
