Gorodskaia Uprava

 

in prerevolutionary Russia, the executive body of the municipal duma. The gorodskaia uprava consisted of a chairman—the gorodskoi golova —and two to six members. In St. Petersburg, Moscow, Riga, and Odessa, the assistant city head was also a member of the gorodskaia uprava.
