Special Features:Site holds the remains of the former summer estate of Royal Governor John Wentworth, last of New Hampshire's colonial governors. The mansion burned to the ground in 1820. An archeological dig there unearthed artifacts that reveal details about daily life and work methods of the privileged class of the period.
