Location:Northwest Illinois, about 6 miles northwest of Ohio, IL, off IL 26.
Facilities:Primitive campsites with vehicle access (Class C), equestrian trail (10 miles), check station for hunters.
Activities:Hunting, camping, horseback riding, bird watching.
Special Features:Site is a wildlife restoration area, with topography that ranges from flat to gently rolling. About one-third of the acreage is dominated by swampy sloughs; remaining portions are prairie restorations, open fields, cultivated areas, or timberlands. Many of these areas have been specially planted and managed to provide food and cover for a variety of wildlife species.
