HDMI audio

Audio-only signals in HDMI. HDMI is a digital video interface that includes digital audio channels for stereo and surround sound. In home theaters, the audio is often extracted from HDMI sources and directed to a surround sound processor while the video is sent to the TV set. See HDMI ARC, HDMI, HDMI 1.4 and HDMI switch.
