HDTV viewing distance

The optimal distance between the viewer and an HD television set. A common formula for computing the desirable range is to multiply the screen measurement by 2 and 3. For example, with a 32" TV, a distance range from 5.33 feet (32"x2) to 8 feet (32"x3) is recommended. In practice, people sit both closer and farther away from their TVs.
