Hančar, Franz

 

Born Feb. 8, 1893, in Vienna; died there July 10, 1968. Austrian archaeologist.

A specialist in many areas, Hančar is the author of many works on the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods and the Bronze and Iron ages in Eurasia, especially the USSR.
