Born July 1, 1900, in Copenhagen. Danish writer.
Herdal was the author of lyric poems, which were published in the collections New Spirit (1929) and Eros and Death (1931). His novels One Must Live (1934), An Unconquered Man (1949), and Gloomy Summer Days (1952) deal with serious sociopolitical problems. Herdal also wrote the autobiographical books Childhood (1944), Youth (1945), and Student Years (1946).
