Heinrich Hertz Submillimeter Telescope

(hÿn -rik hairts) A 10-meter radio telescope, commissioned in 1994 at the Mount Graham International Observatory in Arizona, that operates in the 0.3–1.0 mm waveband. It is run jointly by the University of Arizona and the Max-Planck Institut für Radioastronomie in Bonn, Germany.
