Hevelius's parhelia

Hevelius's parhelia

[he′vel·yəs·əz pär′hēl·yə]
(optics)
Bright spots infrequently observed on the parhelic circle halfway around from the sun to the anthelion; these two brighter areas on the parhelic circle are probably a result of superposition of luminosity of the parhelic circle and the Hevelian halo.
