Highline Lake State Park
Location:From Grand Junction, west on I-70 to Loma exit, then north on CO 139
for 6 miles, west on Q Road 1.2 miles, north onto 11.8 Road for 1 mile
to park entrance.
Facilities:28 campsites, showers, restrooms, laundry, 78 picnic sites, group
picnic area, multi-use trails (5 miles), bathhouse, 2
boat ramps, boat rental, jet ski rental, observation deck, snack bar
(é).
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, sailboarding, jet
skiing, hunting (with restrictions), hiking, mountain biking, horseback
riding, ice skating, ice fishing, winter camping, bird watching.
Special Features:Park features two lakes: Highline Lake is designated for water-skiers
and boaters, and Mack Mesa Lake is designated for wakeless boating
only. Both offer great fishing. The park is the center for water sports
in the Grand Valley of western Colorado and makes an ideal base camp
for exploring the Grand Junction area.
