A specification from the CEBus Industry Council (CIC) for creating interoperable consumer products that can be controlled in home networks via the Common Application Language (CAL). Also known as "HomePnP," Home Plug & Play identifies components and functions for generic devices as well as lighting, heating and air conditioning.
