A dormant volcano, La Malintzi forms part of the cluster of mountains east of Mexico City including Popocatepetl and Ixtaccihuatl, yet stands further east just north of Puebla.
If there is a ubiquitous Mexican/Chicana icon whose image has even more impact than Popocapetl and Ixtaccihuatl, this is without a doubt the Virgen de Guadalupe, or La Virgen for short.
