JPEG-2000

(image, file format)

There are some important enhancements introduced in this release, such as how to determine if the image is transparent or not, Improving memory usage for DNG file format, Support for converting SVG to PDF, Converting SVG to raster image (PNG in this case) file, Improve quality of resized image, TIFF images with JPEG compression should support all possible bits per sample combinations and Implementation of rate control algorithm for Aspose.Imaging Jpeg-2000 codec.
And you can also export panoramas to TIFF, JPEG or JPEG-2000 files.
His resume also includes a stint at Avid, where he initiated and oversaw the development of video and audio codecs, including the design and specification of DNxHD, as well as implementations for H.264, JPEG-2000, MPEG-2, and VC-1.
Experimental results show that the coding performance can be significantly improved using the proposed scheme compared to existing methods as the JPEG-based DCT, the JPEG-2000 and the set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) coder, which the hybrid DCT transform with lifting transform can reduce transmission cost to memory space to store the encoded data and transmit the encoded data.
Plura Broadcast will unveil and demonstrate the first JPEG-2000 (J2K) Decoder Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) module for use with its SFP-3G Series 3-Gbps 1080p LCD HD broadcast monitors.

There are several published color spaces such as YCrCb, DCT, DHT, YIQ, two approximate K-L transforms (K1K2K3 and KLT), the original reversible color transform (ORCT) adopted in JPEG-2000, YUV, YPrPb, CIE-UVW and CIE X-Y-Z to make the image processing algorithm more efficient than in the RGB space, so as to suitable for particular application.
Many of the full-resolution versions are in JPEG-2000 format, which older software may not support.
