Jhang Maghiana

 

a city in Pakistan, in the province of Punjab, near the Chenab River. Population, 118,000 (1969).

Jhang Maghiana is a transportation junction, known also for the production of clothing, pottery, and leather and metal goods. The major industries of the city include leather, food, and soap manufacturing. Weaving handicrafts is also well developed.
