Johnson, Lonnie

Johnson, (Alonzo) Lonnie

(1899–1970) jazz musician; born in New Orleans. A versatile blues guitarist, he recorded with Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong in the 1920s and accompanied dozens of blues singers between 1925–45.
