Johnson Ferry House State Historic Site
Location:8 miles north of Trenton in Washington Crossing State Park (see separate entry).
Special Features:This 18th-century farmhouse was owned by Garret Johnson, who operated a
490-acre colonial plantation and a ferry service across the river in
the 1700s. It is thought that the house was probably used by General
George Washington and other officers the night they crossed the
Delaware River.
