Kafr Al-Zayyat

 

(also Kafr el-Zaiyat), a city in Egypt in theNile Delta, on the Rosetta (Rashid), the western branch of the Nile. Population, 34, 100 (1966). Railroad station. There are cotton and woolen-spinning enterprises in the city. Cottonseed oil, soap, cigarettes, and superphosphate fertilizers are also produced.
