Kamensk

 

an urban-type settlement in Kabansk Raion, Buriat ASSR. Located at the foot of the Khamar-Daban Range, 2km from the Timliui railroad station on the Trans-Siberian Railroad and 105 km northwest of Ulan-Ude. The Timliui cementworks and an asbestos-cement products plant are located in the settlement. There is an evening industrial technicum in Kamensk.

In the bell capital of Russia, Kamensk, there is a bell festival where tourists may view the production process of creating the bells as well as have a chance to ring them.
The new cities include Krasnodar, Ujno-Sakhalinsk, Kemerovo, Novotroitsk, Bratsk, Angarsk, Biysk, Rubtsovsk, Prokopyevsk, Tolyatti, Novokuybyshevsk, Saratov, Dimitrovgrad, Astrakhan, Taganrog, Shakhty, Novocherkassk, Novomoskovsk, Rybinsk, Magnitogorsk, Orsk, and Kamensk Uralskiy.
Shaw and Glen noticed that several craters gouged in this general time frame (between 50 million and 100 million years ago) form a surprising pattern - a circular swath connecting the large Chicxulub crater on the Yucatan Peninsula, the Manson crater in Iowa, the Avak crater in Alaska, and three craters (Popigai, Kara, and Kamensk) in Russia.
