Kang examines the birth and lingering effects of 21st-century Internet activism.
An immigrant and first-generation professional,
Kang grew up in Illinois, raised by parents who came to the United States to give their children educational opportunity.
Kang's strategic organisation of the chapters in the book renders a logical flow to the overall purpose of the book.
Kang, who also doubles as the UN deputy emergency relief coordinator, visited South Sudan from 19 to 21 November to assess the situation and the dire need of the people affected by the conflict.
Kang is a member of the Silicon Valley Association of General Counsel and the Bay Area Association of Asian American General Counsel and a founder of WGCN (Women's General Counsel Network).
Kang then develops her main argument through three national case studies from South Korea, the UK, and Canada.
In the next chapter about trade between political units in early modern East Asia,
Kang implies that the busy economic relations helped prevent conflict between them, too.
Kang's portraits are not the superficial artful mimicry of hyperrealist painters that floor viewers with their meticulous and exhaustive replication of reality, as he does not work with photographs.
Prosecutor Paul Mitchell told the court that
Kang and his wife owned the Helme Lane off-licence and convenience store in Helme and lived in the flat above the shop.
"We wanted to make sure it was not a debate, but an opportunity to listen to each other," said
Kang. "That was the mandate: to create a forum where people's voices can be heard, especially voices from the margins."
