Kazalinsk

 

a city in Kazalinsk Raion, Kzyl-Orda Oblast, Kazakh SSR. It is situated 12 km south of the Kazalinsk railroadstation on the AraPsk-Kzyl-Orda line, on the right bank of theSyr Darya River. Population, 9, 000 (1970). A brickyard and afish-processing plant are located there. Kazalinsk was foundedas a fort in 1853 and became a city in 1867.
