The little town of
Kazbegi welcomed me first with its chilly mountain air and then warmed me with the hospitality.
We were delighted with scenic mountain landscapes as we passed by the valley along the Gudauri ski resort straight to
Kazbegi, a small village located in the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
Highlights will include a full-day exploration of the capital, Tbilisi, the stunning monasteries of Kakheti, a Georgian wine-tasting session and cookery lesson, a visit to the cave monasteries at Davit Gareja, a hike in the Caucasus Mountains and the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church in

Located in just couple hours of drive from Tbilisi,
Kazbegi stuns visitors with breathtaking views, mountainous cool air.

Martvili Canyon,
Kazbegi National Park, Okatse Canyon and Tbilisi National Park come next in the top five.
For those who value their surroundings over the nearness of the piste, the
Kazbegi Rooms hotel a 40-minute drive away is located at 1,200 metres above sea level and just six kilometres from the Russian border and one can view the third highest peak in Europe, at 5,044 metres high, from all areas of the hotel.
Another place that makes it onto the itinerary of most tourists is
Kazbegi, located to the north of the country.
