Kegan, Robert G.

Kegan, Robert G.

(1946–  ) psychologist; born in St. Paul, Minn. He earned a Ph.D. in developmental psychology at Harvard, where he joined the human development faculty of the Graduate School of Education (1977). He was also on the faculty of the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, Dedham (1977). Of the Piagetian bent, his studies of cognitive development have appeared in numerous books and journals; in later years he broadened his concerns to embrace life-span development.
