Khevsurs

an ethnographic group of Georgians. The Khevsurs inhabit the basin of the Khevsurskaia Aragvi River, on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus, and along the upper course of the Argun River, on the northern slopes of the Greater Caucasus (northeastern Georgian SSR). They speak one of the mountain dialects of the Georgian language. The Khevsurs have preserved for a long time elements of their traditional culture— clothing, weapons, multilevel dwellings, and customs.
