Location:20 miles north of Jenner, near milepost 43 on Highway 1.
Facilities:Hiking, nature, and horseback trails (5 miles).
Activities:Hiking, horseback riding.
Special Features:Reserve features acres of wild rhododendrons, which bloom from April through June, as well as second-growth redwood, Douglas fir, and tan oak. In addition to the rhododendrons, other understory plants include ferns, salals, pacific wax myrtle, and California huckleberry. The rhododendrons grew here after a forest was destroyed by a severe forest fire.
